If you sell tickets on-site, or are looking to start, this is an update you don’t want to miss. We’ve officially launched a completely refreshed, seamless, end-to-end, Box Office app on iOS that syncs with your TicketSpice account in real time.
This is a redesigned POS experience that’s faster, more intuitive, and now includes self-service kiosk mode, modern payment support, and a cleaner, more familiar interface your team will pick up right away.
In short: With this update, you can expect smoother sales and a more intuitive experience for both your staff and your attendees. Because if there’s one thing we can all agree on… buying tickets shouldn’t feel like assembling IKEA furniture.
Let’s dive in and explore what’s new.

A Redesigned POS Experience
We’ve rebuilt the Box Office app with a fresh, modern interface inspired by the POS systems people already know and use, think Square, Toast, Clover. The new tile-based layout makes it easy to find ticket types, add items to an order, and move quickly through checkout. It’s visual, responsive, and designed for real-world speed when lines start forming. There’s little to no learning curve here, just tap, build the order, and keep things moving.
New POS Hardware — Tap, Chip, Apple Pay & Google Pay
We’ve fully upgraded payment capabilities with a brand new hardware integration. You can now accept tap-to-pay, chip insert, and swipe, along with Apple Pay and Google Pay, all with support for major credit cards. All mobile payment options connect directly to your TicketSpice account, making transactions faster and more reliable.
This new hardware support also includes receipt printers, ticket printers, and cash drawers, all working smoothly with the new experience. The app is also compatible with Magtek, Square, and NYC1 readers, giving you flexibility with your existing setup.
Upgrade your Box Office setup to accept modern payments with ease. (Note: the new hardware is available for those using Webconnex Payments as their payment processor.)
Self-Service Kiosk Mode for Walk-Up Purchases
Kiosk (self-service) mode is now live and available to all TicketSpice customers! This allows you to set up iPads as self-service stations where customers can browse tickets, make selections, and complete purchases on their own using a simple, visual interface. It’s familiar, fast, and ideal for reducing pressure on your staff during peak times. Kiosk mode supports digital and card payments only (no cash), keeping the experience secure and streamlined.
Turn on kiosk mode and start serving more customers with less staff overhead.
Better Control Over Orders, Refunds, and Sales
We’ve made important improvements to support your day-to-day box office operations. You can look up past orders, scan tickets, void transactions, and issue refunds directly from the app; everything you need to keep things moving, even during busy rushes.
You’ll also have added controls like sales cutoffs and better visibility into what’s being purchased, giving you more control over the full transaction flow. Additional enhancements like inventory visibility for merchandise and clearer cart details help you stay organized and in control during peak, day-of operations.
Put the new Box Office app to work and simplify how your team manages on-site sales.
Online and On-Site Sales, Unified
With the app overhaul, everything now stays fully connected inside the TicketSpice Box Office App. Your ticket types, pricing, donations, memberships, and add-ons all sync directly into the Box Office app. Every sale, online or on-site, rolls into one unified dashboard with a single payment account and consistent reporting. No double entry. No fragmented systems. Just one clean, complete view of your business with better visibility and easier on-site operations.
Run your entire onsite operation in one system and get full visibility into every sale.
A Few More Notable Box Office Enhancements
We’ve also rolled out a number of smaller (yet meaningful) improvements, including:
- Membership verification has been updated for a clearer, more streamlined experience.
- Reserved seating pages are now supported, with more UI updates coming soon.
- Waiver handling is now more flexible, allowing you to send waivers via text or complete them on-site, with staff overrides and clearer prompts to keep lines moving without missing a step.
This new Box Office experience helps you sell faster, support more payment types, and run everything in one place, without added complexity. It’s available now on iOS (iPhone and iPad), and we’re continuing to build on it with even more on-site capabilities coming soon.
If you’re ready to upgrade your on-site setup, now’s the time. And if you’d like help getting started, from setup to hardware to best practices, just let us know! Our team is happy to jump in and make sure you’re set up for success.
Excited for what this unlocks for you!
